Hawaii State Foundation on Culture & Art presents Julia Akatsu Stoyanov

Pianist Julia Stoyanov was born in Fukushima, Japan, the daughter of conductor/composer Boris Stoyanov and pianist Rikako Akatsu Stoyanov. She started to play piano at the age of three and, by the age of twelve was invited to perform at Chopin’s house in Poland. A recipient of many awards, she has given concerts nationally and internally.

Julia will be presenting two programs, from from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m., the other from 7:45 – 8:30 p.m. Come and enjoy an evening of piano with this talented, young artist.

First Friday is a downtown gallery walk held on the first Friday of every month. Galleries and museums, including the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, are open for the event which is free to the public
